This yoga class is a body/mind relaxation practice. The use of props like pillows, bolsters and blankets help the body relax and open, releasing tension and stored-up toxins that can cause illness. Restorative poses are relaxing yoga poses, such as laying down on the mat with the legs up the wall, which are held for some time; this way of practicing offers benefits to both the body and mind, for conditions ranging from insomnia to asthma, chronic pain, migraines and even depression. We suggest that you bring your own pillow, blanket and eye pillow. We will provide the bolsters. We also use Young Living therapeutic grade pure essential oils to deepen the relaxation effect and end the class with a visualization meditation or Yoga Nidra. This class is 90 minutes.
