This yoga class teaches yoga postures that are done in and around a chair. This class is beneficial for people who have difficulty coming down on a mat, walking, moving, which may be the case for some of our seniors or people with a disability. A limited ability should not be an obstacle to gaining strength, flexibility, balance and endurance at any point in our lives. If it is available to you or you are looking for a gentle class on the mat, this class is for you. This class is also beneficial for those who are either looking for a gentler way to do the yoga poses or for those who are in an office with limited time for exercise. Emphasis is on gentle movement, correct breathing, posture, balance, the release of tension in the joints and muscle stretching. This class is 60 minutes. If desired, please bring a mat (preferably two), a block and strap.
